An interesting take on a Hefe. This has your normal spicy clove, wheat aspects as expected with a Hefe. Now you throw in some light honey and orange. It is kind of subtle but you can’t miss it. It gives it a just a slightly sweet and juicy orange taste that enhances the beer. Overall a nice non-traditional Hefe. By the way, you have to like my pouring skills with this one. It’s almost perfect.

This has your basic pils taste in that you get your Pilsner malt taste along with some earthy & grassy hops. It’s clean and crisp. It is what you expect in a pils. I’m glad micro’s are trying to do the “classics” now. Most don’t get them right. They have to add a ton lemon or some other take to make it unique. For a micro they did it right here. This is a classic Czech style. Basic and well done. Having a great relaxing sports day. Started watching rugby in the morning. Did some running and came home to watch hockey and WBC baseball in the afternoon. Cooked dinner and now watching college basketball and more WBC baseball. Add in flipping to college hockey and lacrosse when I can. Along with listening to music too. I love these kind of days. Life’s good. You have to enjoy these moments.

Going to the dark side today. This has a medium dark roasted malt taste with some light char, dark chocolate, espresso and hints of licorice. Starts a little sweet but finishes up bitter and dry. Medium bodied. Overall this is a basic old school stout. Given all the pastry/flavored stouts it is refreshing to get an old school imperial stout. After working on getting the garden started all day it’s nice to relax, enjoy a beer and some baseball / college rugby 7’s.

Juicy that is mainly melon with light passion fruit but has some other underlying fruit characteristics. Has a touch of dankness to the fruit. One down note is a hint of soapiness to the taste. Has a light bitterness. Finishes a little dry. If it wasn’t for the soapy taste I would have rated higher. Still pretty good tho. Daughter’s boyfriend brought over. He is a good boyfriend. Crick or creek is a good question. Where I grew up fishing was along the crick. Where I went camping all the time was along a creek. I think it goes either way.

Has crackery / bready malt to it with a citrus zesty hoppy bitterness. Citrus taste lean towards tangerine but with something else I’m just missing. I hate when I can’t figure it out. Oh well - a nice APA overall

Not a malt bomb like most DIPA's nowadays. It is there tho. Light to medium. For the hops it is citrusy with orange and a little grapefruit. Also has a tea like taste to go with it. Overall not bad.
