Rhinegeist Brewery
Cincinnati, United States

Our name, Rhinegeist, translates to "Ghost of the Rhine" and refers to our place in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District in Cincinnati. We smile while we sweat and brew beers where the first sip calls for the third.

Going to the pils side today. Starting with a west coast style pils. Doing a double up using a glass that holds 23 ounces. Close to both but had to add a second pour. This is citrusy and tropical that leans towards orange/orange zest with a general sweet tart-ish tropical fruit taste. It’s even a little chalky. Has a very light hoppy bite and that’s at best. Has a light crackery malt that is more in the background. Overall I don’t know about these west coast style pils beers. Most taste the same - citrusy and tropical. They are like hazy IPA’s with the hoppy taste dialed down a lot. That is with most hazy’s not being hoppy enough already in my opinion. They are not bad but I don’t find anything special about them. I’m sure I’ll try them again tho. Canned 8/17/25. Not the freshest beer.

This is fruity that leans mainly towards lemon lime with light white grape and a hint of apricot. Has a very light bitterness. Has a very light bready/crackery malt. Finishes a little dry. Overall for such a lighter beer this has a nice taste to it. It’s one you could drink all day and has a little different taste to it. Canned 9/25/25.

This one is a little unimpressive. It has some pineapple, mango, orange that is just a little juicy. Bitterness is very light. Overall, the fruity part is not fruity enough. The hoppy part is not hoppy enough. It did improve a little as I finished - just a little. It’s not horrible. Just lacking Canned 12/2/25.

Not much on the nose. Good mouthfeel. Carmel malt with a nutty finish. Enjoyable.
