The first sample of supermarket selection. I just realized that we don't have a glass in the hotel room, only a couple of cardboard cups. I will, therefore, drink my take-away beers straight from the bottle/can, unless I buy a glass. I doubt I would do that. Not until there's something special. This beer is a rice lager. I have prejudices... Let's give it a chance though. The colored bottle is clear and reveals that the beer, too, is transparent. I can't see the tint but I guess something like gold to pale amber. Can I be wrong? The scent is slightly bready and crackery, with a twist of something peculiar, a bit earthy, like sake. It must be rice. The taste is impotent. Malty. Not grainy but white-bready. A bit of lemon peel and pith, rice flour, sake, a whisper of salt and grass can also be detected. The mouthfeel is light, pithy, moderately dry and drying. Somewhat characterless but fares alright as a Lager. PS. "Mold on the wall is not a problem".  😆
