This is labeled as a Belgian ESB. So I wasn't sure what to actually label it.

First impression comes from the label, and that was what the hell is a Belgian ESB?
Then I'm dazzled by a gorgeous copper amber colour. The carbonatation presents as an impressive white foamy head.
First inhale reminds me almost of a saison but is definitely and distinctly a Belgian type aroma with that delightful spicy fruity characteristic they showcase so well. A second longer deeper inhale reveals a rich caramel, plum and possibly biscuit malt scent.
Creamy smooth mouthfeel with a medium body, this beer is fun and complex. First thing the tongue registers on the sip is zesty spicy Belgian yeast notes followed very quickly by what seems to be a solid example of an ESB. Slightly sweet with caramel rye bread, and balanced with just the right amount of hops. A boozy warm flavour comes in and then gracefully retreats leaving a dried fruit and plum, slightly bitter, aftertaste. Far out and tasty.
