Happy Baltic Porter Day 2025! It is to celebrate Baltic Porter as a beerstyle on the third Saturday of January each year. Today is the tenth time now. However, I don't have non-alcoholic Baltic Porters, nor any non-alcoholic Porter for that matter. I have to toast with a Dark Lager. 🤦🏼‍♂️ The beer is limpid, dark chestnut brown. The carbonation is relatively shy but unleashes a whipped-creamy head that exceeds one finger and descends gradually to a still generous lace ring and lacing on the top. Syrup, molasses, dark malt and dark bread find their way to my nose. Quite predictable but fortunately not too sweet-leaning. The gustatory profile is somewhat light, dark malty with molasses rather than syrup which is now quite distant there. The package is even slightly roasted despite the moderate sweetish undertone. The body is light. The end doesn't change basically anything. Appealing all the way down! The mouthfeel is light, marginally roasty, savory, smooth and modestly crisp. Works nicely as a meal accompaniment.

Still good with a dark malty taste. Slightly more acidic than I remember.
