The aromas from this golden copper beer are exactly as I would expect from a double IPA; it has massive resinous pine and some smaller additions of mellon, and tropical fruit. When poured it builds a white frothy head but it doesn't last too long. I would say it was silky in the mouth except it is barbed with 120 IBUs of bitter goodness. Soft on the palate and of medium body. It has even bigger hops than the aroma did. Huge piney and resinous, and still that little bit of melon and tropical fruit. My favorite part of this beer is that you can still taste the delicious malt with lovely sweet caramel. A very nice beer, and a stellar Double IPA.
