Finally I had the chance of trying out some beers from Birrone, which is one of the craft breweries close to me. First in line is Brusca!
It's a pilsner and gets its name from "Bruscandoli" which, in Venetian dialect, are the wild hops, so, even its shows its underlying bitter taste.
Once poured in the glass, Brusca shows a clear gold color with a nice and persistent white head, almost like whipped cream.
To the nose this beer already shows its strong personality with the bitterness of the grassy notes that stems from it.
The mouthfeel is strong, as its name suggest, with the strongly hoppy flavor balanced by a sweet malt that polishes the overall taste. That translates to a persistently bitter aftertaste that is a lot more enjoyable than that of most pilsner I've tasted.
Overall, despite the fact that one I'm not a super fan of pilsners, I really enjoyed it, so I think that Brusca it's a really strong offering from Birrone and I'm happy to have chose it!
