Laughing Water
4.3% Pale Ale - English
Laughing Water is a hoppy, tropical-fruity pale ale that gets its name, and it’s flavour, from a punchy English hop called “Jester”. Think: blackcurrant, grapefruit & lychees. Galena bittering hops give it a subtle citrus base. Amarillo dry hopping adds an extra boost of orange and peach aroma. Extra pale and pale ale malts are used to ensure a balanced flavour of malt vs hop, whilst giving Laughing Water a pale straw coloured body. The result is a very hoppy, yet very drinkable, 4.3% beer that’s perfect for sunny days with plenty of laughs.

Citrus nose and a nice pale straw colour, this was a bit lively out of the bottle but once it calmed down a very nice drop. Described as 'hoppy pale' on the bottle... Yes it's hoppy but not outrageously, so, medium, dry hoppinsesh lovely strong lemon in the mouth and toward the end there is something of blackcurrant in the background, clean dry finish, really refreshing and all gone too soon. A Christmas present which I will have to track down and repeat!

Great hoppy aroma and taste to match. Not too tropical or fruity but good wholesome hoppy ale nonetheless. Tasty clear pale summer hat colouring and a reasonable head.

Lovely little hoppy ale. More a light IPA than a pale ale I’d suggest. Some good hoppy taste coming through. A lovely little ale.

Decent hoppy pale with tropical and black currant aromas and a big hoppy mouth feel with a citrusy bitter finish !

Nice, refreshing, a bit too complex for me
