Decided to give this another try. Didn't care much for it last year, but we'll see if anything changed. 2019 vintage, just released last week. Blueberries and maple syrup in the aroma, as expected. There is a little bit of bourbon present as well. Taste has blueberries first, followed by bourbon and then the maple syrup comes into play. The bourbon balances the sweetness very well, keeping this from being cloyingly sweet. Body is on the lighter end of full, slightly syrupy, with an appropriately lower carbonation. I don't know if my palate has changed a ton, or if this year's is just that much better, but this is pretty damn tasty. Nowhere near as overly sweet as I remember it being. Glad I gave it another chance. I might grab a 4-pack and age a couple bottles. Very desserty beer, but very well made. Makes me want to revisit the regular version to see how I feel about that one now. High 4/5

I'm getting blueberries and maple syrup in the aroma. More subdued than the non bba version. Little bit of bourbon as well, which hopefully balances out the other flavors. Bourbon shows up first, immediately followed by the maple syrup. Blueberry begins mid-palate and continues on the bank end. Although not quite as sweet as the non bba version, it's still a bit much. It is a tad bit better though, so I'll rate it 1/2 star higher. 3.5/5. You know what, I changed my mind. 3/5
