Für ein (American) Golden Ale zeigt es sich im Glas ziemlich rotbraun ... dazu minimal trüb und mit mäßiger feinporiger Blume, die in mm-Stärke Beständigkeit zeigt. Der Geruch ist sehr nussig-malzig und leicht schokoladig. Der Antrunk ist etwas wässrig, auch hier nussig-malzig mit subtiler Süße. Eine (Vollmilch-)Schokoladennote ist hier nur sehr hintergründig wahrnehmbar. Dafür taucht ab der Mitte eine von Holz (Oak?) begleitete Vanillenote auf. Ob das alles so beabsichtigt ist, oder am kurz bevorstehenden MHD liegt, kann ich nicht sagen. Auf jeden Fall ist es ein interessantes Geschmackserlebnis.

Re-reviewing as I had this 4 years ago and stated it had a bourbon taste. Had to be a bad batch as this tastes much different. Has a yeasty that has a crackers and bread malt taste. A tad sweet but has a light earthy hop bite. Overall an okay golden ale but nothing great. I have to show my shame today. I left my phone on my toolbox of my truck while gathering things I needed. Then left forgetting it was there. It stayed there for about a mile and a half amazingly. Unfortunately it fell off on a well traveled road. Well you can see the result. Definitely run over a few times. $330 later, I have a new phone. It was a bad day. Hence having a few beers tonight.
