Black Scottish Stout
4.2% Dry Stout
Brewed using pure Scottish water and a unique blend of Scottish triple malts sourced from the finest locally grown barley. Fresh roasted aroma and taste with a hint of coffee from the roasted barley. Simply hopped with Challenger to provide a clean low level bitterness for a deep flavoured yet sessionable pint - Belhaven Black Scottish Stout really is something completely different.

Very deep black colour, chocolate coffee aroma. Not as smooth as I was expecting and head retention wasn’t there either, disappeared after the first couple of sips. Nice flavour, but the aroma doesn’t translate too well into the taste. Would choose their Best over this.

Definite chocolate smell after pouring. Initially a nice foamy head but it disappeared after a couple minutes. On tasting, there’s a mild chocolate taste, a bit watery. Taste improved on warming, it was not cold when served.
