Stout irlandese del tutto particolare, con sentori di vaniglia e cacao - oltre al solito caffè e liquirizia che al naso emergono solo successivamente.
In bocca invece è la liquirizia ad esaltarsi, l'astringenza fa rimanere il suo sapore anche dopo la deglutizione. Forte anche il sapore di polvere di cacao che rende la beva piuttosto affumicata.

Mellow pour which started with a huge h chocolate head that settled quickly to one half finger. Scent is roasted barley, little hint of coffee and that's about all. Mouthfeel is lightly creamy and light carbonation, a pleasant middle ground for all stouts.
Taste however is thin and very watery. Only trace of coffee and roasted malt. Aftertaste is closer to burnt toast than anything else.
