
A dark, delicious beer with a dry palate and a full, rounded, Fuggle hop flavour. It is brewed using three malts; pale malt for body, crystal malt for rich flavour and black malt for texture and taste and is one of the only truly national, Mild brands.

Theakston Traditional Mild
Out for an evening nosh with family & friends, nothing fancy just a cosy meal. No spectacular choices on keg so why not give this a try. As the barman chatted to me and 60s music played in the background, the darkest mahogany liquid poured almost noiselessly from the tap rising up the glass giving a one finger, tight off white head that slowly dissipated leaving nice bit of lacing.
As you nose the drink you firstly pick up a restrained liquorice followed by sweet malts and dark fruit aromas.
Soft and smooth in the mouth it releases moderate flavours of liquorice, dark fruit and hints of toffee.
This humble beverage is for the snug, a quite mans tipple, thats easy drinking at 3.5 ABV and went well with my burger and salad; then another to wash it down.
