This version is 6.8% not 6 and in a can not a bottle.
Very lively via a normal pour, check the photo! I've just spilt it on my keyboard 🥺🤷🏼♂️
Anyway, this brew is extremely pale golden coloured and clear/transparent. Rye IPA is new to me and peaked my interest at the time of buying, also it's American. On the nose it's like a cross between real ale and a west coast IPA; gentle fruit chutney like mango and pineapple with some grapefruit stab, pine forest air and the scent of alcohol.
In the mouth it's light, refreshing, and tangy with pineapple, marmalade and mango. The bitter pine finish increases with consecutive sips. It's a fruity west coast really. I was expecting loads of wheat type thing via the rye but it's more of a soft sweet malt. Not very malty like an English ale might be.
Not bad and it's something different. The most impressive thing is how light it is for its 6.8% ABV.
What's odd is that upon pouring the rest of the can into my glass it's now a cloudy beer, it's been left since and no yeast has settled to clear the beer again. Also it's alot fruitier, still pineapple cubes and mango chutney but stronger and more bitterness too.
