Strong sweet syrupy nose that includes Apple, pear, banana, bubblegum, clove, cinnamon, orange peel, and that gorgeous Belgian yeast.
A rich copper gold displays well but the large fluffy head was gone almost immediately.
I was a bit concerned that it would be too sweet due to the aroma, but I was more than satisfied.
The syrupy sweet was basically non existent. In fact it could have been a little heavier. Its Medium light body really allowed subtle orange and spices to come through. Most of the aromatic notes were present on the tongue. Orange, 5 spice, banana, and also cardamom, and maybe some coriander. About half way through the glass I noticed a bit of bitterness from hops but I really had to pause and think on it.
It's quite thin for a Belgian, but it works for for the delicate parts of this beer.
