Un peu trop amère

Another place-specific brew. Bitter. The appearance is exactly like that of the previous DIPA. Limpid gold. The picture may distort they colors. Carbonation is, anyway, a couple of decimals less brave, the emerging head is white, silky, and one finger in height. Retention is long also in this case. The remaining lacing retreats to the sides but adorns the surface really long like that. The olfactory supply is, first and foremost, astonishingly impotent. What I find here include basically only faint malt cracker and a wisp of lemon. Convincing is not the word I'd use here... Let me see if the gustatory profile yields any better results. Well... malt is there, not crackery though. Grapefruit pulp is apparent. Some peel, as well. I think I'm getting also a vibe of apricot in the shadows. Not a banger. The body is light-medium to medium. It's okay. The finish offers the same citrusy and other fruity elements but also a bit resin. This one is also long-lived. The mouthfeel is medium, a bit crisp, slightly dry and equally slightly drying. Quite easy and unchallenging. Reasonably tasty but not a very intriguing example of this beerstyle. A note to the file: the billboard says this is a Bitter. Untappd says this is a Belgian Strong Golden Ale. The restaurant's online list says this is a DIPA. My tastebuds tell me that this is definitely not an BSGA. If it was a DIPA, I'd say that it's weak performance. I let it stay as a Bitter in Pint Please since that's the most the recent and accurate information.

Leicht bitter und mit einem guten Gehalt an Kohlensäure. Es hat kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Für ein schnelles Bier sehr gut geeignet.
