Now this is more like it. A cloudy, golden brown beer in a stumpy bottle. Shoved in the back of the fridge - I even had to remind the girl behind the bar what it was. A tangy IPA with a decent amount of punch - and perhaps more malt than fruit for my usual taste. I may also be feeling generous as a result of all the straw pale lager I've drunk around here - however this beer has something about it. It's chewy and well crafted - with perhaps has a very mild hint of star anise. And I mean that in a good way. If only the restaurant opposite would give up on the Phil Collins album this would be a perfect spot.
