Finally here. Not that I've been waiting for this... This place used to be called "La Taproom" although it wasn't a real taproom, like at the verge of a brewery or something. Anyway, it was a beer bar. Not very impressive but one of the best ones in this beerwise unimpressive city. Well, then they decided to "develop" the place to a cocktail bar. Called "Mademoiselle Fifi". Last time I was in Geneva, the place was closed for some reason. Now is my chance! They still have the beer taps, actually quite a good series of them, but their beer selection contains just a few local beers, most of them macro ones. This beer is the only 🇨🇠beer that I haven't tasted before. This place has never been a must place in the city, now the ambience is different. At least, they have an up-to-date beer list on Untappd, easy to check if there's anything interesting available. If not, no need to bother.
But now, a Lager that I haven't tasted before. Looks lucid gold. A clean white, silky head exceeds one finger and descends to a neat lacing on the top.
The nose gets excited because of the faint buttery nuance. Diacetyl? Could be an off-flavor but I don't give a sh*t. I like D. Pale malt, cracker and faint grass in the background.
The tastebuds aren't overwhelmed but nod their heads for acceptance: grainy pale malt, moderate buttery diacetyl, water cracker and a truly faint grassy hoppy wisp. The off-flavor makes my day!
The body is light. The end is grainy malty, I don't get diacetyl anymore but I still wouldn't call this "clean" either.
The mouthfeel is light, easy, slightly butyric, considerably distantly crisp and equally modestly drying. Balanced? Yes (imo). Clean? Nope. And that's good!

Passe comme de l'eau avec un petit houblonnage entre le fruité et citroné. Légèrement agrume et épicé après qq gorgées on sent la céréale qui reste !
