Carling Black Label
5.5% Pale Lager
Carling Black Label has been quenching South Africans’ thirst for over 40 years. As one of the most awarded beers in the world, it has built a reputation which is hard to ignore. A quality brew The beer itself is one of the stronger lagers in South Africa with a clean, refreshing taste. It has a spicy hoppiness complemented by lightly kilned malted barley. There are also subtle fruity notes in the aroma and taste, adding to the depth of the beer. A dense white head and straw-coloured body characterise it.

Tried the South African version of Carling Black Label and what a difference! Pours a straw-coloured golden colour with a dense white head. Features a crisp, slightly bitter and clean flavour profile with fruity, aromatic and slightly sweet, syrupy and woody notes. Has a distinct slightly bitter edge, balancing a sweet biscuity malt with a hint of grassy hops. The finish is clean and crisp, leaving a lingering malt sweetness and a slight dry hop touch.
