Made with Cornish water, whole-flower Northdown, Citra and Mount Hood hops, this straw-coloured pale ale is a class act! Citrus-soaked and finishing with a shimmer of passionfruit, this zesty, hoppy combo is as fresh as Cornish sea spray on a hot day.
The buzzing little town of Porthleven on the south coast of Cornwall is home to an iconic surf break as well as a vibrant food scene.
Skinner’s have always been a surf-loving band of brewers, when this wave works on the south coast of Cornwall, you will see Steve’s son Ben Skinner and Ben’s son Lukas surfing here, Ben named his youngest son ‘Leven’ after one of his favourite surf spots. So this beer was named in honour of Cornwall’s iconic surfing break, this fine, strong pale ale is as refreshing as the fine ocean spray hitting your face as you ride the perfect wave. Only you get to enjoy it without even getting your feet wet.

Slightly strange aroma but the flavour is quite nice, has lemon and lime notes, refreshing and easy to drink.

Reasonable. But more on the lager side than the IPA side but still a reasonable pint.

Not as pale, zingy and fresh as the pump might suggest.

Not the best. Tastes a bit fizzy but flat, strange.
