The Spice Principle, Canada
5.0
I saw a Beau's 4 pack box and grabbed it immediately. For folks out east, it probably is no big deal but I don't see it much out here. On a trip to Ottawa I discovered Beau's and have dug irreversible since. So I'm starting off excited already. First up, a spiced weissbier. It fill a glass with an ever so slightly cloudy golden straw coloured beer with a massive foamy head. The aroma is a wonderful wheat with a whole array of spice notes. I get Clove, coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, cumin, pepper, cardamom, mustard, and well.... I figured I looked like a freak sitting there swirling and sniffing, swirling, and sniffing for so long. Every inhale brought more notes out. So before looking like I lost my mind, I dumped some onto my tongue. Initially my taste buds report back an awesome weissbier. Under the wheat is a groovy malt taste. Next up is a delightful unveiling if spice after spice, none aggressive or overbearing and all very complimentary to each other and the beer itself. As the sip dissipates a mild heat lingers. This is fantastic. Totally dig it. Well played Beau's, well played.
