I paused at work today and observed the people and my life rushing past. Ebbing in and around the infrastructure of the world. Often like chaotic, and distarcted squirrels. So many looking lost, vacant or angry. It caused a moment of anxiety, and doubt but was followed quickly with resolve. And fear. Time for something new. And so I took a breath and then a step. A small one yes, but I will keep following it with another then another. I'll end up somewhere.
So in the spirit of trying new things, (yes, that's the excuse I'm going with for having a beer,) I shall have this pale ale from Foamers Folly.
I let the attractive yellow beer fill my glass and empty my worries. A lovely two finger head builds as I clear mine.
Taking a moment to admire the color, I reflect on decisions, and realize that choosing this beer was a good one
The aromas are reaching out to the nose before I even move in for the sniff. Pineapple, papaya, and grapefruit are some of the notes I'm getting in this fruity beauty.
I'm also picking up some wheat and sweet malt hints.
Taking a sip, I find that the fruitiness is still present but becomes a bit muddled. It rides wonderfully on a medium body with nice pale malt tastes. There is some interesting texture that arises from the sweet, fruity, malty, hops and a kick of wheat. It almost feels awkward, but really is fun? If that makes sense. There is a bit of citrus, resin and wheat after taste that evolved to hold the sweetness back. A very nice beer that has some familiar components but uses then in new arrays and becomes something new and a little different.
May life follow its lead. Cheers.
