Straight from the bottle. No glass available. 🙄 The scent displays some recognizeable licorice. The tongue experiences massive licorice and a tad roasted malt, accompanied by a faint whisper of raw cacao powder and a drop of tar. I can also detect a tiny injection of blackcurrant as well as lemon peel. The body is light-medium to medium. The beer ends with slightly tangy, bitter burned malt, a good amount of licorice root and a citrusy nuance. The aftertaste rolls on tongue over medium to long duration. The mouthfeel is medium-strong, somewhat tangy, relatively burned as well as a bit charred. It's also crisp and relatively challenging.
