Bock beers were typically brewed in preparation for Spring and symbolized an optimistic transition from hard winter times. These copper-brown Lagers are lightly hopped with little to no hop presence allowing the toasted malt characters to be more evident. A local symbol of this same winter-to-spring transition is our free-range, backwoods, mountain goat (or bock if you want to get all Bavarian and bring this thing full circle). So it's no coincidence we give a tip of hat and a subtle country wave to our friends in the surrounding hills.
