When the English were not able to obtain French wine in the 1800's they set out to make something uniquely close. Made in the true English Ale fashion, our Seven Saloons Barley Wine is a very strong and often intense beer! A challenge to the palate, we started with all English Maris Otter and Crisp Crystal 60L grains and built something unique that is lively and fruity, sometimes sweet, sometimes bittersweet, but always alcoholic. Hopped with a combination of English East Kent Golding and American CTZ hops, the end result is a beer that is so palate smacking it drinks just like a French wine. Aged for 6 months before it is released; we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
