Hideout Helles Lager
6.9% Dortmunder / Helles
Pronounced "Hell-ess Bock", Helles Bock or Heller Bock Maibock (literally: light Bock) is essentially a synonym for Maibock, the Bavarians' strong, golden lager favored during the brief transition transition between the long Bavarian winters along the northern edge of the Alps and the equally long, hot summers. Maibocks are customarily served in the spring and are oftentimes interrelated with spring festivals and celebrations more often in the month of May. In spite of its name, this brew is not light in body or strength, just in color. The Maibock style of beer tends to be lighter in color than other Bock beers and often has a significant hop character with a noticeable alcohol around the same as a traditional Bock.
