Glad I bypassed the pub up the road and found this place, as locals were saying how poorly run it was. And to be treated to this gem which we rarely see in Portsmouth too, so win win for me!
Love this beer, it’s everything you want in a stout. Roast malts dominate, coffee and dark chocolate flavours everywhere. Fruity bitterness and a smooth hop bite at the end. It’s medium bodied and not heavy at all, so all round a well balanced, dare I say it, thirst quenching beer. 🍻

Bittersweet with a malty finish, much like my ex wife

Local Conclub guest, under £4 and very acceptable stout. Chocolate malt taste, very smooth.

still a boster of a beer. Nice malty aroma and taste with a nice fruity note. Coffee taste to finish. Bitter aftertaste but was expecting it. smooth, creamy and easy drinking session ale

what a drink, nice malty aroma. malty taste to start with, subtle fruitiness and then, boy does the coffee note kick in, in a good way, smooth and easy drinking, a very slight bitter aftertaste but enjoyable, a very good session ale, creamy and very drinkable
