Jason of Old Soul travels the world in search of the greatest coffee. This year, his travels took him up into the high mountains of Costa Rica to La Pastora Farm where Carlos and Lucia Montero grow some of the highest quality White Honey coffee beans in the world.
Unlike traditional coffee, White Honey coffee beans are semi-washed so that they retain their sticky, honey-like pulp. Through this natural pulp process, the coffee retains more sweetness and depth.
Only a few bags of La Pastora Farm's fine White Honey coffee beans were brought back. One bag found its way into our porter, the Sauce.
