This 10% ABV ale is an example of the very strong, export-style Scottish ales popular in Scotland (although much is exported to the US). A Scottish strong ale is known for significant dark and medium caramel flavors, blended with toasty and bready malt sweetness, with low bitterness. This big beer is smooth and very drinkable, despite is towering alcohol levels. We're stoked that this beer took the Silver Medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival!
