Tom Isaacson is an avid home brewer in the Santa Ynez Valley, and has been brewing for over 20 years. Our buddies at Valley Brewers held a competition that would highlight the use of Mandarina Bavaria. Tom created a wonderful Saison with accentuated juicy citrus notes coming from the usage of both the Saison yeast, and the Mandarina. Light amber in color, gentle notes of honey and toast accompany candied orange rind and other citrus notes in this strong Belgian Saison. The alcohol is 8.1%, but the yeast aroma, and flavor masks its true nature. Bella Mia translates to "Beautiful Me" and was chosen to honor a family Bulldog that sadly passed away. True beauty is in the eyes of the beer-holder!
