
Kumquat season comes in early spring here on the Central Coast. So we decided to harness this aspect of our fresh spring fruit and create something unique and light that can harness the fresh Kumquat characters. Using organic Kumquats from Santa Barbara we produced a Saison, also referred to as a Farmhouse Ale, that has slight spice and fruit notes from the Saison yeast, accompanied by a big kumquat / citrus aroma. It has a soft malt and crisp wheat characters that go well with the mild tart-citrus flavor the kumquats bring to the palette. This light seasonal brew is only available in spring so get it before it is gone until next year.
