Cornholio is a Baltic Porter brewed in collaboration with Sam Calagione, from Dogfish Head Brewery, and Nick Floyd, from Three Floyd's Brewing Co. Each brewer brought an ingredient from their home state; dried Horehound leaf (Michigan), beach plums (Delaware), and red popcorn (Indiana). An aroma of rich, roasted malt with hints of coffee and chocolate stems from this dark black lager. Sweet plum is the initial flavor, which then leads into a robust malt and herbal flavor. A subtle, burnt bitterness lingers in the aftertaste, but it's the surprisingly dry finish that leaves a lasting impression.
