Pours a black colour ale with beige coloured head Notes of roasted nuts malts and hints of liquorice Cask

Malty Mild Ale with hints of chocolate. Very average ale in a very poor selection of ales on offer in my local Spoons.

This beer has got a bit of everything that I like in a beer without actually delivering any of it in a way I like. This dark ruby red beer is heavy on the malt taste and aroma but tended to be on the burnt side of roasted malts. Coupled with the bitterness this made for an overly bitter beer in my opinion. Hints of dark fruits and chocolate. A snip at £2.15 a pint
