The Märzen traditionally signified the end of the brewing season before the dawn of refrigeration (in the month of March–März in German). They were brewed with enough alcohol to survive the warm summer months, but left refreshing enough not to overwhelm the palate. In celebration of the upcoming insanity we are brewing a "basketball-colored" Märzen to coincide with college basketball's greatest event. All German malts, hops, and yeast!
