West Brewery aus Schottland braut ein Munich Red. Ich habe mal gehört, daß dazu eigentlich das Brauasser aus München kommen muss. Egal. Das Bier ist schön malzig und etwas erdiger gehopft ohne groše Bitterkeit. Es läuft gut, löscht aber nicht so den Durst. Der Rotbierstil ist nicht ganz getroffen, dazu fehlt es etwas am karamelligen Malz aber das was die Schotten hier zusammengerürht haben ist schon sehr solide und schmackhaft.

Enjoyable drink. Called a lager but has a darker hue and tastes more like an amber ale and is made to Bavarian brewing regualtions. Has a decent taste and after taste. Good served chilled. A winner from the West brewery in Glasgow.

Bitter sweet

Beer festival pint 5 (I think). Slight caramel smell and a toffee kind of taste. Decent.

A rather splendid starting point for today's pub walk by bus! Sitting in splendid isolation (it is only 11:32) looking down on the brewing Kettles.
