We're at Russian River Brewing again, after driving down to see where the actual river comes out in the Pacific. The coastline is amazing and full of seals and birdlife. There are more winery's around than you can throw a corkscrew at - this really is the land of plenty. Perdition is described as a Biere de Sonoma (after the valley we're in) as a homage to Belgian Biere de Garde's. It's ruby red in colour with a thick white head and a promising aroma. Not my usual thing, but it has a mildly spiced malty tang and tastes extra fresh given where we are.
