In 1981, Redhook Brewery was born in the converted transmission shop in Ballard, kickstarting the Seattle craft brewing movement. Big Ballard Imperial IPA is a tribute to our original stomping grounds, now the epicenter of Seattle's Brewing scene. A long time Redhook Pub favorite, Big Ballard lives up to its name with a bold and aggressive hop profile, deep golden body and crisp finish.

DIPA that is malty with some bitterness Ok but I'm a little tired of the malty DIPA thing. Has some bitterness too. Again ok overall

Tropical fruit on the nose. Carries into the taste along with the IPA hoppy pine notes, some malt and bitter beneath. Very well balanced, very fresh and crisp. None of the usual 'double' dankness or booziness. Very enjoyable.
Part of the $15 Redhook 'Hoppy Hook Pack' 12-pack. Others in the Pack: Long Hammer IPA, Bicoastal IPA, and Peaches for Me IPA (replaced American Pale Ale). Been one of my go-to's for a while. Gotta be one of the best values around...
