Grisette beer from a polish brewery, taken after a ride with bicycle. Moderately foaming cloudy yellow beer. Fruity smell. Taste is mild, with flavor of grapefruit mixed with spices like carnation and cinnamon. Watery. Not among the best beers.

Epätyypillinen saison. Tuoksussa piparitaikinamaisuutta, inkivääriä ja ehkä korianteria. Maku pehmeä, saisonmainen happamuus puuttuu lähes kokonaan.

This beer represents a beer style called "Grisette". Pint Please doesn't have such a beer style but it's obviously categorized under the title of Saison. Indeed, Grisette originates from Wallonia of Belgium, the same region that brought Saison to our tables. While Saison was originally meant for seasonal workers ("saisonniers") on farms, Grisette had the same purpose but for miners and industrial workers.
"Alphonse" pours totally cloudy, deep yellow beer with orange hue. Resembles light mango juice. Forms two-finger, clean white, fluffy foam of bubbles of various sizes in it. Scent is fruity and stuffy with notes of pineapple, farmhouse and tarragon.
Tastes medium sour and fruity. Yeastiness looms in the shadows. Bitter orange peel, pineapple, passionfruit and a very tiny pinch of salt constitute the mainstay of the palate.
Light-medium body. Finishes with a fairly mild aftertaste with dry fruit cake and pineapple that lingers on tongue for some time. Mouthfeel turns out light, even a bit watery but taking into account of the ABV of 4.5 % this is quite decent. The beer is also somewhat tart, slightly herby and a bit closed. An interesting acquaintance!
