Stout & Porter Days 2020 @ St. Urho's Pub. Murky, jet black beer with timid carbonation creates a light beige, velvety head that remains below half a finger. The foamy cap dissolves soon to a frazil-icy star-formed lacing decorating the top. No splashes are left behind. The scent is relatively mild with slightly bitter licorice. I can't get anything else, the serving temperature shouldn't though be too cold. The taste portrays massive licorice with a distant roasted twist. The licorice is extraordinarily dominant and overshadows any other nuances if they are there in the first place. The body is medium-full to full. The beer finishes with the same licorice as upfront. The aftertaste gives the tastebuds a job to do for quite a long time. The mouthfeel is strong, faintly roasty, really simple and one-dimensional. On the other hand, this beer has a good amount of character. I expected much more though.

This is big very, very big. Smooth and chocolatey with vanilla, coffee and a big bitter finish. Magnificent troffing but take it easy. It gets a 4.7xDWRD rating.
