Deep black beer with modest foam that dissolves soon entirely. Powerful sherry scent. Tastes first mighty dark chocolate, strong coffee made on open fire and liquorice. The taste evolves into fruity notes, most predominantly those of ripe dark plums.
Alchohol is making determined efforts to climb up, and to some extents, gets halfway. Sherry barrel aging is so distinct in this beer that I've probably never tasted such a dominant feature in my life. Awesome!
One of the chubbiest bodies I've ever experienced. Nice and round. Finishes with long aftertaste of liquorice, strong coffee and, of course, chocolate.
Palate is full, engine-oily, sherryish, tannin acidic, strong character. A crazy beer! This is clearly 5+/5.
