Sustained thought is a 6.0% ABV stout made with cold-brewed coffee from Valentine Coffee Roasters here in Milwaukee. We love our coffee, and Milwaukee is flush with amazing roasters practicing their craft. We took a tour around Valentine's space on Vliet and immediately wanted to make a coffee stout using their cold-brew. We did some test batches to share with friends, and this is the final result. Made with oats, chocolate malt, and midnight wheat - plus some British hops. Toasty flavors tango with the vanilla of Valentine's roast for a creamy, not-too-strong coffee stout.
