Now Mead. Because it's vappu. This is my souvenir from Vilnius. The 100 ml ceramic bottle looks cute. The Mead itself is limpid, deep amber. No carbonation, no lacing. Apple wine in the scent. Alcohol refuses to hide itself. The taste is strong with intensive red apple, bags of honey and a warming alcoholic punch. Some Meads have a complex taste profile while others have a straightforward palate. This is one of the latter. The mouthfeel is full, intense, medium-sticky, lip-glueing, deep but simple. Rather sappy albeit not excessively so. Alcoholic and warming. Not the most intriguing Mead I've tasted.
