Yeah! A second kaimiškas! A honey version.
Lucid, deep copper. A grayish beige head, the texture is velvety. Exceeds one finger and dissipates to a neat lace ring and haze on the surface.
The nose receives strong fermented banana, a good honey slam, waffle and apricot (interesting!) but nothing that would resemble rye in any form.
The tongue likes the flavor composition: generous honey, fermented banana, pancake, biscuit and a wink of apricot.
The body is medium to medium-full. The aftertaste offers slightly crisper flavors like apricot skin, fermented banana, less honey and a hint of grass. Rye steps out of the shadows only now.
The mouthfeel is medium-full, spiced, rustic and definitely lip-glueing. It's also smooth but simultaneously marginally dry.
A very interesting traditional brew, not necessarily as appealing as my regular kaimiškas yesterday.
