This will be my 7th Avery beer. All have been above a 4. There's no mistaking this aroma for normal coffee, definitely has that expresso quality. Texture is both soft and yet has a little dry feel. At 6.5%, it's not meant to be a stout that hits hard. It's meant to be an easy drinking beer, and it is. Gentle in the mouth while still bringing nothing but a nice expresso coffee laced with just enough vanilla to soften the bitterness. My only complaint is that it almost disappears during the finish. Doesn't last as long as I would want it to.
