Brought this Mobile Alabama beer back from the coast on our New Year's holiday. Did not know there was an oyster Stout from Alabama but of course it's Mobile. The head rolls quickly and huge and went down almost as fast. Has a salty malt aroma to it. Texture is creamy, soft. A sweet flavor that has some type of dark fruit melody in the background, black cherry and maybe something else but it's really faint but there. Starts with a smooth sweetness and then you get a roasted coffee, earthy. It's like drinking a double roasted breakfast coffee that you stirred honey into, one of those flowery honeys. They say it's salty but I only get a little salty brine late in the finish and it's very easy going. About 3/4 of the way through that oyster shell quality begins to appear, different and I like it.
