Vetinen ja laimea

Another one, I'm a sucker for these. Moderate pour leaves black body with brown hue, lots of carbonation and one finger of mocha colored foam. Scents of orange, lots of orange but it's quite a gentle note. It's not oppressively strong which is a welcome change I have to say. Behind the orange is light and sweet chocolate. This isn't too strong, and with the sweetness, it tastes more like milk chocolate than the usual bitter dark chocolate you would expect from a stout. There's nothing in the form of coffee which is a welcome surprise. It's medium bodied, smooth, with surprisingly light carbonation. Surprising compared to how much there was at the start as visible in the picture. Within the smooth body is what feels like a single silky thread of orange, running consistently from the beginning to the end of each sip. Taste is a mimic of the scent. Gentle orange, not overbearing, playing off of a light and sweet milk chocolate, with non of the usual espresso or bitter malts. I think this is very well made with it being 4.5% and the taste profiles gentle, while still being succinct, you get a very sessionable stout. The next time I see it I'll buy a couple.
