We had the chance to trial Manilita through Freestyle Hop Farm’s Research Collective. Though it’s a relatively new variety, it’s already been behind some stellar beers. When we got our hands on it, we wanted to showcase it front and centre—paired with just a touch of Citra (okay maybe more than just a touch), but keeping Manilita as the star. This one pours a creamy, opaque yellow with lingering bubbles. The nose is dank and tropical, bursting with ripe fruit aromatics. On the palate it’s super silky, loaded with mango, nectarine, and juicy tropical flavours. We’re stoked with how this turned out—don’t be surprised if you spot Manilita on more AMF labels in the future.
