Dry Hopped Brown Ale, United States

Sticking to the dark side today - in fact I think I’m going to have a dark side weekend. This was a birthday present from my daughter and son-in-law. I find this quite interesting. This is citrusy that has a light lemon, lime and orange combination. Has some very light pine (at first) that has a hint evergreen/mint to it. The pine grows to the light level the further you get in and then starts to linger. Hoppy bite is light+. Has a very light roasted malt with a touch of chocolate. Has a little bit of a dry finish. I have to admit at first taste I wasn’t digging it much. I think because I was expecting more of a brown ale taste. That quickly changed as all the flavor started registering in my mouth. As I finish it makes me want to drive up to Jim Thorpe and get more. I’m glad it was a Crowler as it gave me time to sit and enjoy. This was really nice, complex and surprising. A perfect birthday present
