Strong barrel notes in the air, must be Scotch? Oaky, dark roasted malt and a hint of peat. This. Is. Intriguing! Indeed, powerful smoky whisky in the taste. Oak barrel, dark cacao powder, brown sugar, a pinch of toffee, blackcurrant and blackberry. Wow. Quite a cocktail! The sensation is full but not robust, strongly barrel aged, boozy, marginally smoky, liqueur-like, warming. Absolutely! Warming. Nice but a tad arrogant. Could benefit from cellaring?
