Kicking off Good Friday with a few beers and am beginning with this. At 4.6% this is sadly not as good as the classic 5% version but is still quite drinkable. A clear pale golden lager with a sweet aroma and large foamy white head which features a moderate slightly syrupy malt profile. The taste is slightly sweet with notes of rice and corn, leading to a moderate crisp bitter finish. Very smooth and thirst quenching, this is an inoffensive lager that hits the spot.

Enjoyed a few beers this Saturday night and kicked off the proceedings with this. Have to say, not as good since they lowered the percentage to 4.6% but it’s quite drinkable. Pours a crisp golden colour with a firm white head and delivers a slightly fruity, citrusy aroma with a balanced easy drinking taste with a hint of malt sweetness. Will miss the original version, they should never have got rid of it.
